Tim's March Tag....

So I am way off the mark here, I don't have the mover and shapers Rabbit- but I do have the die and the chocolate rabbit Tim did back when- was always a fave of mine. I didn't have the seasonal paper or the crinkle ribbon (ran out! ACK!)So first I mixed my tattered rose and broken china distress paints and just a bit of mustard seed stain on my mat and swiped my tag through. Then I did some inking then I stamped in distress markers. I cut a label out of my tag- I didn't have the tinsel and I only have two distress paints so instead of doing the Background and metal flowers I just did some of the Tattered Garland flowers up and added them to the tag. Tim may not count this one but I'm counting it as done! LOL I'm on a roll this year and so I didn't want to NOT do it. Here's my Lame-O (lame because it's not much like the original...but I still think it's cute!)version LOL Okay and so while I am sharing tags...let me share some blueprints I have been fooling with and have been meaning to share. First up here are my mini Easter Blueprint tags that I added to some of the special hidden goodies for DD this morning like Jade from Rio and her Kinder egg and the Lindt bunny! They are so small there isn't alot of room for embellishing so I kept them simple by doing the distress paint same as the tag above. Popped the images and added some stickles. Next up I have a birthday tag, I was colored some of the birthday blueprint images and had this blue and yellow gift sitting on my desk- I also had a Patterned paper tattered rose I had done up for the challenge and not used....in the shuffling of things the rose landed on top of the gift..I thought it was cute so I replaced the ribbon with the rose. And last but not least is one of my favorite tags I made....I have LOVED the Americana Blueprint stamps from the moment I laid eyes on them! They are so cool! I wanted to make a tag I could use in my Disney Album- I wanted the tag to have elements of a flag so that I could incorporate the star and it would make sense. I wanted the flag waving so I started with a post-it note to mask off the blue part of the flag, I cut a CS template for the stripes in red and used my stain on them then I stained some white on the white stripes but then also used antique linen ink and fired brick to give the flag a more vintagey feel...and faded jeans for the blue backing for the star. I gave the star dimension by folding the star (no small feat on an itty bitty star!) added some pop dots to the back and added the mirror to the itty bitty panels! LOL Since my tag is for Disney I turned the Lady Liberty into a postage stamp with a Sizzix die I had- I have several sizes of the stamps so it was only a matter of finding one that fit and luckily I did! I stamped the USA on watercolor paper and used Distress markers and the water brush (I color all of my images in this way including lady liberty) Okay...so there you have it for now! I am hoping to have more to come soon! Trying to stay on a slow roll here! LOL Ta for now! :D

Ha ha! here's another tattered floral item...card.

I have a bunch of flowers, (made out of all kinds of various mediums) I have a bunch of ideas....I have a little girl who has been clingy today so I didn't/don't know how many of my plans will come to be but I did manage to get this card pulled together- this flower, cut from Tim's tattered floral die, is done up in patterned paper this time. I may just have another post yet again tonight! LOL

You Are My Sunshine- Another Tattered florals LO.

I have another tag I did up using Tim's tattered florals Die that I transformed into a LO. On the tag the large pink flower on the top right, then going counter clockwise- the purple flower and the next purple one and the pink one beside that are all from the tattered florals die and all the others are from Tim's Tattered flower garland die (along with all of the leaves. And so here you have my LO...You are my Sunshine.

Ranger's Seasonal palette March.

I am cutting it under the wire in entering this tag I just made for Ranger's Seasonal palette challenge. So the challenge was to use these colors put forth from Ranger Ah fooey! I have no idea how to shrink the picture to fit...if you want to see all the great products used for color inspiration please click on the photo. Oh my Tim Tattered florals probably would have been close but I just had to do up something special for the challenge alone. So here is my tag. You can't really tell in the photo but it has glossy accents to highlight parts of the eggs and there is bling...bling is good! :D My friend Emily made me the felt flowers, they were in the box that I had put the Easter egg in...I couldn't believe that I had the same colors I was using in the tag! TFL! Oh and I will have more Tim's tattered florals tomorrow. :D

Tim's tattered Florals

So Tim issued the challenge to show him your tattered floral creations. So even though I have been super busy...I just HAD to play! (Don't forget toplease click on any of the pictures to see them a little larger if you like) So I start with a pile of watercolor paper and I die cut tattered florals flowers and I add my distress markers or stains...it always amazes me that my flowers start off like this Let's start with a tag with some of the flowers created with those tattered florals die flowers. I often hear people ask what do people do with their Tim tags when they create them?? and for me personally I like to try to include them in my LOs if I can...so here's a LO with said tag and then a closeup of the tag So there you have my watercolor version of Tim's tattered florals. And I will show you some that I made for my DD's hat a couple years back melting the petals with a candle and a heat gun and using material. It was a cute hat...but it lacked some girly pink and something more frilly was needed I thought. I'm not going to put this in on Tim's challenge because as I said I did them a couple years back (the pic is recent LOL)Oh and a little tip is that I used the large flowers and the centers are actually the daisy looking ones (for those I used a heat gun- it was easier) I tried the smaller flowers and the daisy just made the cutest center...go figure! :D and hopefully you can see the flowers a little better here. I have more to show soon...I have made another tag but I also would like to try to pull a LO together with it- hopefully I'll catch you tomorrow with that...if not I'll post some of the fun I've been having with the blueprint stamps for fun! :D As always...Thanks for Looking! :D
