Camera aperture card

I had a request this morning for a tutorial on this card I did And so here it is! My first video tutorial I hope it helps someone out!! if you prefer to watch this video on you tube you can find the link here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJJZUCVHbmQ So in case you want it written out to refer to that is a 8.5" X 11" sheet which you will cut the length in half at 5.5" so now you take one of the 8.5" X 5.5" pieces and on the long side you will score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" (or you can spin the card 180 degrees and score again at 2 1/8"...your choice, same diff) That is your gate fold base. To cover with Patterned paper you will need 1 7/8" X 5.25" panels for the Front door panels inside and out. if you should want to cover the back of the card that will be 4"X 5.25" For the apertures you will take the second half of the cardstock you cut and you will cut the the 5.5" down to 4" and then cut two pieces from that that are 3.5" in other words you need (2) 4" X 3 1/2" You will also need a piece of another piece of CS and cut a panel that is 3" X 5.5" To cover that you will need a piece of PP that is 2 3/4" X 5 1/4" After adhering the patterned paper you will center a 2 1/2" circle on that middle panel and cut that out (see video for easy to do tips) you will also need to cut a 2 3/4" circle to stamp your message on if you want it stamped in white and not the color of the card. (Your circle has to fit in the aperature window and be smaller than the 3" wide center panel) and that is the dimensions of Cardstock and patterned papers you will require for this card. I hope you have fun making yours!

Today's class projects

First I am going to start with this card because I used my coloring project for yesterday for the daily marker in it.
And the card closed
Next up I have another card that uses Jenn's technique.
And open
And this last one incorporates the first two tecniques.
And open so hopefully you can see the second technique better.
The last two I colored today and I'm having so much fun, I may not be done...but we'll see about that after dinner. Thanks for looking in on me!

Another card from class

I am trying something out on my blog so I thought I would share this card I got done today with you.

I always have such fun in Jennifer and Kristina's classes!
Thanks for popping in for a peek!

Some new cards

I'm still playing along with Kathy's color challenge and I share those as quick as I can on Instagram and then I will bring them here so here's an update to those ...as well, I am now taking the Online Card Class Stretch your dies so I am sharing those as well. Okay first upThis one was for online card classes-the class is stretching your dies and if you have ever taken one of their classes then you KNOW they do not disappoint! I thought I would try a colored background but I ended up wishing I had used white and a little less stamping none the less I have the technique down. And another  from class.  And then this one above was using the leftover die cut.And that brings me to this one i did for the 30 day color challenge! So happy to have kept up from the start!
This one I would like to enter in these two (above and below) into the Inspiration Emporium Spring Blooms challenge
And this one was from the weekend>Also this onethe paper got wrecked because of me trying to fix a black ink smudge that occurred at the end (why is it it always happens AFTER you get all the coloring done?) so this will be a tag and not a card as intended...it's all good. This one I did for the new PS Challenge, and the PS Sparks Challenge I love that doing the coloring daily is getting me to participate in other challenges as wellSo that I believe is me caught up for now. Thanks for popping in to peek!Well....aren't you going to go get inky too? :D

I've been playing along with Kathy at the Daily Marker

She has a 30 day color challenge on her blog. Well yesterday I tried several different things with Lawn Fawn's Eggstra Special Easter stamps and I posted the colouring on Instagram and now I am sharing the results and the finished cards here.
And this card is using the dove blender and distress markers.and this last card is me colouring with only pencil crayons. I use only one pencil for each color. The jelly beans are the only thing done differently..they are the Dove Blender and distress markers..

I was trying to figure out why the the results were different then the previous day's worth of play, I finally figured it out, I was using a different paper. So there you have my card, love this Lawn Fawn set!
