A few LOs to share.

First up is a LO of DD and I making cookies...a favorite thing for a little gal to do! I made the flower in the top right and the bottom
The first two LOs are one with a Scrapbook Generation sketches.

Next was moving day when DD konked it watching Baby Einstein on the computer in the new place.

This last one is my own design...a pic of DD and her Daddy. I always love shots of my two favorite people! I tried to do alot of layering on this one. I made the four large flowers there are some itty bitty flowers that just came in a spray. I also made all my own embellies on this one too!

Playing...Background techniques, playing with Alcohol ink, Making flowers. just lots of fun play. Some of the things I used on this LO include Liquid pearls,Momenta Puffy stickers Alcohol inks, Tim Stamps, Spellbinders Rose Creation dies, Tim Holtz idea-ology salvage stickers and Webster's pages- Your Life. Beautiful.

I was trying out my new Point and Shoot at Christmas with the High burst setting and go DD running around. The Reindeer is from the Silhouette store. I did the title myself in Studio. The little squares in amongst the pictures are made with Basic Grey paper and Studio G stamps...they are tags that I made a few years back and I just cut them down and backed them with CS. There is Stickles, bakers twine, a jingle bell and also some fabulous Zva Bling included.The "Joy" is an adhesive Chipboard sticker I got for cards years back. TFL!

Tim Tag #4

Okay...so I didn't have that adorable snowman that Tim used...so I am just crazy enough to draw and handcut it...including the 25...not once...BUT TWICE!! On the first one I didn't read instructions well and I used my picket fence stain and it was blue! so I recut it LOL! I added two snowflakes to bring the pink in and did a pink button (which is what brought the pink in) and the pink snowflake and a sheer ribbon since I didn't have silver. Did a half cut with my Spellbinders snowflakes since I didn't have Tim's die either. I did have the feather thanks to a pigeon LOL I spotted it after Tim's post ...past it on the ground and ran back and picked it up! LOL

I didn't have (once again) the stamps that Tim had so I did snowflakes with a snowflake embossed BG. Since mine wasn't as bold as Tim's So I added a Large sentiment and more greenery. :D

I wracked up my shoulder somehow and had to take a couple days to rest it and heal.
Here's my Tim tag for Day #2- I didn't have the reindeer Die but I did have some of Tim's pre-cut grunge so I took that-flipped it over and I traced it on the back of a blank piece of grunge added the natural canvas to the front of the grunge and fussy cut that reindeer out. Since I didn't have Tim's pretty star I did a star and mini red bell. Didn't have the Seasonal Kraft papers so I took a piece of his Regular Kraft Resist stack and cut out the one with the grid, embossed the paper and stamped my own branches and then used the picked fence stain and carried on from there. Didn't have the border die so I just used some old border stickers and inked that and then added the brads. I used Peeled paint stain (loved the color on the vintage bias tape) instead of burlap I used a green ribbon thing I had) Since I didn't have the Christmas Muse tokens I used a regular one. Lots of substitutions on this one! but I got 'er done! Now to play catch up...I have a lot of catching up to do on a lot of projects...not the least of which is getting a cover on my December Daily!

Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!! I just love to start the season with Tim! It wouldn't be the same without him!! so I set out to working on my tag early this morning Here's what I came up with for my 1st tag. I had no supplies he had except for the Festive Greenery die, inks and stickles. I used a blue on blue Coredinations paper a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, hand cut the tattered inspired banner and and used some pine cones you get for Christmas presents.
I used a Kerri Bradford file for the word PEACE...I also did a JOY so it was a toss up which one I would use and peace won!! I had did the beaded part. I ALWAYS have a blast making these and thinking out of the box with the supplies I have on hand. I love this tag!!

Okay...after looking at this post I decided I didn't like the blank spot down at the bottom and revised the tag and added the JOY afterall (maybe that's the real reason for two! Maybe I knew I would need that one too! So here's the picture of the final tag (I think! LOL)

Scrapping my Stash!

I am trying to scrap with what I have so....here's some stuff so I don't get behind!
One ....A big ole pile of cards I did

Okay...now here's a LO it's a Scrapbook Generation 1 pager!There's a PTI Build a bloom flower a Dienamics rolled rose an MM's metal embellie A K&Co. sticker-the title is one I printed up inspired by L&F and the papers are all Lost and found.

And now a Halloween LO full of Tim's Seasonal Distress inks from Fall and Kerri Bradford's cutting files. It's a scrapbook Generation 2 page LO. The Title is from when I was cutting out one of the Background panels it wouldn't cut and wouldn't cut so I salvaged this bit and used it for the Title along with some of the numbers from Tim! I even used ribbon a dear friend used to wrap a prezzie for me and some OLD disney CB pieces.

A couple of LOs I have done recently.

These are from last Christmas Eve. This first one is some Lost and found, Sorry it's not square on but the paper warped slightly because I used a star as a template and sprayed the paper and then sprayed the left side of the LO as well-nothing a page protector and being in a full album won't fix! It's all various Lost and found papers by MME. The mist was Perfect Pearls mist in bronze by Ranger and it's a Scrapbook Generation sketch :) The title is from the Silhouette store. and leads into the journaling which reads
"And all through the place, you ran and you jumped, a big smile on your face. The presents were gathered all under the tree- all but one special one- for all to see.
Then what to your wondrous eyes should appear but a Marvelous handmade sleigh did appear!!
You opened your presents up one by one, you sat in the sleigh 'til the last of them done. You loved all the presents and all the shiny wrap they came in...but the hit of the night was the one from Uncle Finn."

This next LO is also Lost and found and Also a Scrapbook Generation LO.
I figured since we were with family on Christmas eve we could get a decent photo of the three of us together but DD was wiggling trying to get loose (probably to chase the dogs about) or looking the other way or moving so the pic came out blurry. Ah well...we tried! I used a Tim Holtz rosette, MME papers and embellies, and Ali Edward's Technique Tuesday stamps. The negatives are actually stamped on transparencies.

This is a LO of my DD doing her typical daytime activity at this age. In the exersaucer spinning about, in the jumper, and watching her all time fave at the time...Elmo on Sesame Street. There is MME Lost and found and a little bit of Bo Bunny dot CS. I used a Tim Stamp to make a PP out of my title after it was cut, Everything was inked or stamped with TH Distress ink in Worn Lipstick and there is a little Recollections bling. TFL! :)

A quick LO from me!

This one was easy peasy...it uses a scrap of MME Lost and found I had previously cut into :) I was so inspired by the new MME Lost and found 2 that I created my own embellie...used a Tim holtz Styled label I cut down to suit, a Laundry Line stamp. Other things on this LO are Tim Holtz distress inks (Surprise! surprise! LOL) some K&Co. CB butterflies, and some Crafts Pearls. The Layout is loosely based On a Scrapbook Generation sketch (another big surprise eh?) However I didn't do the placement at all accurately I placed it to fit my Lost and found paper and the elements on the paper I also left off elements from the sketch as well.

A LO with Inspiration showcase techniques!

I got this great flash of "Inspiration" while I was doing the Inspiration Showcase class with Jennifer McGuire. I had this idea for doing up this filmstrip in a special way and when I took the class it was like a bolt of lightening that this was what I would do with it! (I actually got hit by a couple of bolts while in the class!!)
I am putting this in the gallery under finishing touches because it was a bunch of finishing touches that took me from being happy about the LO to THRILLED!
Techniques from the first row of hearts are also included.

Well here is all the hearts for my canvas complete! I still haven't adhered them yet and I will probably add Glossy Accents to the word Create. :) but I had to share! it looks so PURDY all together IRL...all shimmery and lovely! too bad that doesn't show on the computer!

This card features stamping on acetate...Even though I refilled my White staz on it still came out sketchy looking, but I don't mind Shabby Chic ;)
It also features a rosette and another new technique for the last row on my canvas- Crisp stamping on canvas...FAB technique!
The teal CS is just so you can see the stamping.

First the tag using techniques from the last row. You wouldn't think there is much you could do different with a rosette now would you? Well Jennifer McGuire has a few tricks up her sleeve (she has a trick for everything it seems!)

Okay...now for a new row. This row uses different papers and things different from inks. Such fun!!

I hope this works...having all these projects in one post. :) UGH>...I did rotate the pics but it isn't showing up that way...sorry!
First I have and embossed project...I love these colors (mustard seed, spiced marmalade and Barn door) in this tag!Tim's Distress inks and the Rosette die too.

Next up I have another large tag in which I used the rosettes die of Tim's and inks. The rub on is Making Memories. I just noticed I forgot a couple finishing touches so I'm going back to fix that! (LOL everything looks better with ink!)

These two 3X3 notecards are using a Background technique. I have used the Worn lipstick and scattered straw Distress stains, Worn lipstick Distress ink, some perfect pearls...the flowers are made by me :)

Celebrating You being two!

A really big job...doing up DD's birthday pics. There were so many photos alot of them from my SIL that were blurry and had a color cast to them that I had to remove but there were alot of shots that I didn't catch as I tend to live in the moment enjoying it. So here is the first double LO (yes there is more to come) I just got the MME Lost and found 1 collection...since it's my favorite collection ever -such a special event deserved fabulous paper and embellies. I used a Scrapbook Generation sketch as a jumping off point. The Title is part Kerri Bradford (Celebrate you- from All about you) and part mine (being 2!) Tim Holtz Rosettes were used as well as one of his mini paper clips

This is a compilation of a bunch of pictures of DD when she was just 3 mos. old. It was a great way to get four different worth of days worth of photos scrapped that would have been a bunch of one page LOs!
Uses DCWV Old world CS stack, and K and Company Que Sera Sera stack, and Prima flowers and this time and Recollections & Prima bling. Scrapbook Generation sketch...I love! and a Kerri Bradford Title...I have used this one before but they won't be anywhere close to one another in my albums so I'm not bothered by it in the least! (love this title!)

I did this LO for Nichol Magouirk's Scrapbook Stamping Class for July. Hero Art's stamp used on the grid pieces and a TH flourish is waterstamped on the tag.
Title is a Kerri Bradford cutting file and the vine is a Samantha Walker cutting file found in the Silhouette store which I added dimension to. I used Vicky Alberto's tutorial for the sugarplum Flowers for the smallest of all the flowers, the largest flowers are all my design using Spellbinder's Rose Creations and TH tattered florals dies. Gabi inspired the frame with the liquid pearls.

YAY! A LO!

LOL Finally some bits and pieces came together. I started it with Nichol Magouirk's Scrapbook Stamping class. Title was easy because I knew I would use this title from the "All about you" kit from Kerri Bradford with these pics and did this part first.
Then a Dear friend of mine, and a fellow scrapbooker- Erin, passed away recently. I was grief stricken and my mojo was gone.
I finally managed to pull it together today. The tough part was the stamping...I got the "smart" (ha!ha!) idea to stamp the sweet peas from my PTI Year of flowers set and then water color it in...which took a while...the Top stamping is from Grid Lines Two from PTI and that came together quickly.(thank goodness)I finished it off with my PTI seed packet with my Samantha Walker flower on it.
Hopefully I'll be able to get a few more going now. Wish me luck! :)

Okay...don't know if I can stop making these...they are too fun! here's just a few more that I made #1,2, and four- are using a Samantha Walker's Designer cut-Gardenia- from the Silhouette store. They were designed to be flat but I can never leave well enough alone and did some of my flower technique magic on them to give them dimension...#1 is the flat version-inked only and #2 and #4 I played with. #3 is just colored with pencil crayons without Gamasol because I need a new Staz On and so the ink is distress ink and the gamasol wouldn't work with it.

I got a few PTI sets for my BD at the end of May and they arrived at the end of last week. So I went about playing.
First I made some homemade Patterned papers- they aren't perfect but I will not be using the whole sheets as is and I had fun learning! This is PTI's Guide Lines Two stamp set

Next I did some Seed packets up with some flower stamps...my StazOn is all messed up so I only got to do three of them, I used Gamesol and Prisma pencils...I don't have any copics YET :( LOL! I made up the little packets with my SIL Design Studio...also FUN! These use the Garden Variety and Year of Flowers mini stamp sets

Next up is some more of the seed packets in a more vitagey feel with flowers I made myself! I love making flowers!! This is using the Garden Variety stamp set.

And last is a lone button card that I made up while I desperately waited for my new sets of PTI to arrive LOL and here it is!
Also with homemade flowers. This uses the Button Boutique stamp set.

I have been working on this wedding album for someone very special...my youngest niece who is getting married shortly. I just couldn't bear to by a toaster or a blender when I knew she would never recall who gave it to her so I knuckled down to make her this. I will offer up my services to complete it with her pics if she wishes or she can do it or I can help her, if she needs Photoshop work done to change the landscape of the photo I can do that too.There are photo square adhesives in hopes of helping her as to where the pics go and a few of the LOs have photo corners. Anyway...here it is...all Ali Davis' sketches (SG sketches) with the exception of the single photo LO which I was inspired by one of Camilla Ekman's LOs. I apologize for the glare and the camera didn't like some of the patterns like the polka dots! As always if you click on a photo you will get the enlarged version!

Yes, there was a challenge on MB buddies to use dollar store items for 1pt and recycled items for 2 points. I used 10 different sets of Studio G stamps for ten points and my recycled 2 points was the envelope from Santa Clause under the photo mats. I also used a Scrapbook Generation sketch from this week and changed it up a bit and added some PTI which did not count for any points at all of course since they are worth more than a dollar but a worthy addition to the theme of my "Special Delivery- Letters to Santa" LO!

Well I still have to print off the pics, since I was so far behind on my printing I am out of ink yet again. This first one is done with my PTI Postmark stamps, I think I have to move the metal embellie that's hiding under the pic I Photo shopped in but I will know for certain when I get the pics printed

This next one is DD enjoying a Purple popsicle or Ice Lolly.
The pic on the Left is the look you get when you ask for a smile...it's actually improving because she used to really scrunch up her face and squint her eyes just about shut too. LOL

First up is a LO of my DD just being herself. :)

Next up is a LO of DD headed out for trick or treating...not the greatest pics because of the lighting in the hall but I still love the pics! She has that look on her face like "Is this much clothing REALLY necessary??" LOL

This next LO is a very proud moment for me....it's of DD with a magnetic alphabet set I bought her. She just loves Word World so I bought the letters for her to play with while watching her show. I sat with her and the word on the show was XRAY so I asked her for the X and she gave it to me, I asked for the R and she found that and handed it to me, same for the AY...I was a little taken aback but thought it was because she has seen the show (many times-it's her fave!)
Soon after I thought some of the letters were missing so one by one I asked for the letters of the alphabet and one by one she gave them to me correctly! SHOCKED didn't even cover how I felt...Amazed was more like it! She only started saying more words and here she knew the whole alphabet! I'm still amazed!

This last layout took a long time but was so much fun to make! It's using my PTI button Boutique stamps as frames to do a year in review LO of my DD's first year.

Now that I have some ink for my 'puter I am catching up on some LOs.
This first one is DD playing with her Elefun...I thought she might
get frustrated not being able to catch any but she could care less she just is in it for the fun!
This is a SG sketch (big surprise eh?)

This next one is also a SG sketch of DD and her Daddy playing with the Thomas the Train set she got for Christmas.

This one is when we started a new Christmas tradition of building a gingerbread house with DD it was fun!

Last but not least is another SG sketch of DD and Daddy when she was little...I love these pics!

I did this LO with my new PTI button Boutique stamps, I used an Ali sketch but changed it up. I don't have ink at the moment so I photoshopped in the pics and will add some journaling and embellies when I do print off the pics.

I should start by saying that the pics have been put into the LO digitally but the LOs are complete...I need to do some photo printing.
This first LO is one that came by accident. One of the gals asked what a blind challenge was and I explained it's a LO described to you...then I gave an example...just for fun I did up my own example and this is what it looked like.

Next up is a LO that I did with some recent pics...we've been waiting for snow to use this fabulous sled that my BIL made for my DD for Christmas...it's a BEAUT! here's the LO I used an Ali sketch but changed it up added a mini book for the additional pics because I liked this sketch for sledding. :)

This last one is one that I did trying to fill in the gaps in my albums. I thought this one was done already but it wasn't.

Livia's Challenge

So my buddy Livia put up a challenge on the MB buddies board to do this Ali sketch in colors you would not normally scrap. Normally I wouldn't scrap orange and pink together but DD's shirt had those colors in it so I went with it. I may decide to cut a title with my Silhouette I'm not thrilled with the stickers but I got it done...it took all day which for me to do an Ali LO in that length of time is disgusting but I got it done (despite the fact that my stuff is all over the house!) so here it is-oh I had to PS in the pics but as soon as I refill my ink I will just
print them off as they are all sized.

Shhhh...DH's Christmas present!

this is a floating frame I did up for my DH for Christmas using an ....wait for it...LOL...Allison Davis sketch :) It's from the sketch support class I took. The frame is not what I really wanted size wise but this was the closest to a 12X24 I could get at my Michael's it's a 16X20. Ali did one in class and it was 10X26 but my stores had nothing like that. I did some adjusting to my pics from the original sketch. I trimmed my 4X6s on the top a bit, trimmed down my 6X4 on the far left top-because I had the added length in height I didn't use smaller pics but larger on the bottom. I LOVE how this turned out. PS the picture is with a carpet behind it just so it would show up a bit. Due to the fact that the frame is very thin I only used paper heart buttons for the flowers, I wasn't going to add any embellie because I did want the flowers but I couldn't think of a flower center and couldn't have them nakie! Then I remembered my sizlets dies for buttons! Yippeee! I also added some Making memories metal words because they were perfect for this...two of them I had to sand the original paint off them because it was a turquoisey green...totally didn't go in my opinion. Remember you can click on the pic to get it bigger!
I think I'm hooked and want to make more of these! Hopefully I will eventually find a more rectangular frame like the 10X26 one that Ali had found.

More Scrapbook Generations Layouts and a card.

First a little card to put you in the holiday spirit...are you feeling it yet? I am just getting into the mood after purchasing some of my family gifts...still have the hubby and DD to shop for but it's nice to get the majority of the family's stuff done.

Okay onto the Layouts I'm trying to catch up on posting these so I can get them into my albums.
This first one is DD playing in the park on a warm evening back in September...I love that her free spirit shows in these pictures! I pretty much followed the sketch on this one...it's from Book Six. I did however add some word stickers (that I love!) to it. I probably would have stitched that circle but it stood out pretty good do to the contrast. I may go back and do it anyway...a girl has a right to change her mind after all! I did add stitching to the Title and stickles too! There is journaling on the back of the tag telling DD how much fun Daddy and I had with her and the date.

Next up is DD in her Halloween costume ...entitled "Tinkerbell" :) I made the title and backed it with double sided tape and then put the back on and then applied glitter to the top and then rubbed it in. I further embellished with some Somerset 3D stickers. This Layout is from the August 2010 free downloadable sketch you can find on Ali's blog http://allisonrdavis.blogspot.com/ you can find it on the right hand side under downloads (Printable sketches)
I changed up the two smaller pics on the top left and the bottom right and put in a 5X3.5" pic in each of those two spots, I also left off the strips of paper on the left side of the LO and substituted them with a nice Zva rhinestones which might be hard to see in my pic (click on the picture of the LO to enlarge) but I wanted to add to the "Pixie Hollow" feel like a forest. I also added a little punched border to give it a more feminine feel. I took some perfect pearls and mixed them with water and then took a toothbrush and flicked on spots all over the black Background paper to give the look of fairy dust. I also added some large glitter chunks that fell off the Prima butterfly and some bling! Therefore I wrote my journaling in a metallic gel pen so as to add to and not cover up too much of the effect. I added a quote from her Tinkerbell book "Always follow your dreams" and layered it up a bit too. That is a long description for this LO but I hope you can appreciate all the added little details.

And one more LO using that same sketch...only this time I added a ton of handmade flowers that I made to look like Dandelions, DD picked them all summer long...every time she went out for a walk. And I added one other handmade flower for fun and for contrast.

:) Of course more SG sketches...can you tell I love them?? I love them even more since I took Ali's sketch support class! So here's one from book 3 I did. I took these pics of DD...I just wanted a photo with her glasses on but she got all DIVA on me LOL Hence the first pic with her hand up to the camera! LOL I used less pics than the sketch called for...I knew that embellie would take up room. I had all the title and embellies made a while back and nothing was jiving so I put it to the side. I made that embellie up myself on my Silhouette...LOVE it! So much fun to do!

This next one is one I LOVE! I converted the two page sketch to a one pager-Ali did this one in class and I thought it turned out so sharp I wanted to give it a go! A perfect one pic page I thought! Of course I did different embellies and less of them because I had made this journal box up for this LO a while ago and "felt" it until the other day when it came together (I love this one!) ...and how can you not love this pic...I just want to give her a big squeeze every time I see it...she was having a meltdown over having a Glass Christmas ball taken away from her while we were trimming the tree. Poor little Boo Bear!

A couple More Scrapbook Generations Sketches

I have a bunch of stuff I need to organize and photograph that I have done recently so I'll start with these two that are hot off the sketches LOL. The first one is when DD first got her Jumperoo...she looked so cute and very happy with it. I changed up the pic sizes and to compensate I moved around the papers a bit, this one is from my New Volume 4 Sketchbook!And without further ado... I give you..."JUMP BABY!"

Next up is a LO from last year...I wanted to do the December Daily and had it all laid out and then my comp. crashed with all my journaling so I am just getting around to doing this now. It's us preparing for Christmas, putting up the tree.
This is also an Ali Davis/Debbie Saunders sketch it's from the Volume six sketch book...I took and altered up the sketch and I hid my journaling (which if you know me you know I love to do!) I put it under the little snowman...which was off of one of DD's gifts so I thought that was cool that she will be able to read it...it swings open on a brad and I created a back so I could do my journaling. The wreath and the little vine is some wired Garland I bought that I thought was cool. The papers are an mix of 7 Gypsies, Tim Holtz (Lost and found), Graphic 45. and Bo Bunny. :)If the picture appears blurry to you it's actually a photoshopped pic to look dreamy. :) So here it is..."Deck the Halls"

Some random stuff...

So I finally got ink for my printer again...going to try not to run out of ink again...of course I can blame Allison Davis and her mom, Debbie Sanders, for that LOL! if their sketches didn't make it so fun and easy to make LOs I wouldn't need ink so frequently. :) Okay so on with the LOs.
First we have "First Smile"...just a fun little page I put together...wanted to make the chandalier. This was a pic I have scrapped in other misc. collage type LOs in the past but I wanted it all on it's own since it is one of my favorite pics...DD smiling at about a week old and then she gave me big smiles every morning after that when I came to get her out of her crib.

Next is just a couple of pictures that I needed to get scrapped...I am trying to get my books caught up so I have to go back and chronologically fill some of the gaps. I was happy how this LO turned out in the end!! Who says less is more?? Sometimes More is More!

Again this is another photo I had scrapped in my DD's first month page but never scrapped it on it's own and since it was the first time she rolled over it was important and needed it's own page so there you have it!

Next we have one of the Allison Davis (Debbie Saunders) Sketches that I did a long while ago but needed to print the pics for...I actually have quite a few more in my pile of "to print" pages on my desk.
I cut all the trees and fences with my Silhouette, everything is nice and inky too :)
This page was all about how DD pronounces the different animal sounds...she can't talk but there is just about no animal she can't make the sound for! LOL

And then we have this one...fresh off the press, it was for my final week of Ali's sketch support class, I converted the sketch to a one pager and flipped it on it's head and added many finishing touches to it...basically I had fun with it! I couldn't resist taking this pic of my DD because her hat was POPPING off LOL but she still looks adorable don't you think?? I mean how can you resist that smile?!

Have a fabulous day and I'm sure I will have more to post real soon...I just have to sort through and more importantly I want to get some scrapping done because I just got my new sketch books- book 5,4, and 3!!! I have to fool with the embellishments once I actually print off my pics- I just placed them in with photoshop so I could load them in the class gallery and so I thought I may as well share here too. The red in the letters is much more an orange red then it appears. TFL!

I have done this same sketch half before...I like it! I changed up the shape of the die cut this time and journaled around the die cut. I also hand stitched the heart as well as inking the edge. I made both the blue flowers myself.
Again I had to photoshop in the pics so obviously the flower will sit atop the middle picture.

Poor lighting and I had to photoshop the pics in...and the title came out crooked but hopefully you will get the idea.
My journaling is hidden journaling that will pull out via an arrow that will point at the first 4X6 photo on the Left(it will be under the pic) and will read:
"Even at two, you have your own sense of style...you have always LOVED Dad's hats and you wear them backwards so I got you your own hat and you wear it backwards and it looks Adorable on you!! Yep...You got style kiddo!"
I made the little owl, inked him and pop dotted him up and stuck him on a piece of Christmas foliage I had in my stash. He is in the colors of the owl on her coat.

I'm sorry for the big gap in posts...I found out we are moving. I'm preparing for a BD party and I've been doing Ali Davis' online Sketch Support class.
I'm out of ink again...but I tried to photoshop in pics over my LO that is all done except for adding the pics...in doing so I covered up some of the title and part of the embellishments I was able to Photoshop in one of the embellies but that was a good as I could get it! Hope you get the idea of the LO anyway.

But I have been scrapping I just haven't taken pics yet. I will eventually flood my blog LOL but for now here's one I did for Scrapping outback for their "Twilight" crop a class that Trudi did called "Breathtaking". I didn't have any of the supplies used in the kit so I had to make up my own gate with several cutting files put together, same with the lamp post I made up my own to mimic the one in the kit. All the stickles are diamond though on the black in the photo they turned out looking copper.

I did this LO for a challenge issued at SO from Joanne to "think outside the square" and do a non square LO I hand cut the paper from two other papers I used as templates and traced. Then as a personal challenge I used my new Hero Arts stamp and stamped and embossed the inner circle of beige CS then sprayed with my Glimmermist (Key Lime Pie)that I had won from Mandy at the last crop at SO. LOL I also included the original stick that DD had in the picture. DD now knows that she is NOT allowed to move about with sticks on the playground but she still loves to dig with them LOL. Fun challenge...I wanted to do up this pic for a little while since I did all the other pics in an Ali LO.

Today I'm trying something that I hadn't really thought of since I started scrapping my daughter's pages.If I do inky I do vintage....or else I just go with the bright girly colors with no ink or maybe the ink color I am working with (blue usually or pink LOL or green). Here's the scoop...I saw the most lovely set of Layouts over at My Creative Scrapbook which were done by the UBER talented Mommy5X...she has the most lovely inky style- they are rich and deep. Yes those of you that know me know I love my ink but what I never thought to do is what she does...she does these beautiful Layouts and she uses ink with these beautiful Brilliant papers. I have always thought more along the lines of "vintage" when I think of inking. I never really thought about adding them to bright papers DUH!! so I gave it a whirl...what do you think??

I just realized you can't read the journaling it reads...
"Whether it happens to be watching Baby Einstein, reading a book or playing a game...being together is always... [TIME WELL SPENT]"
This is a twist on many levels on an Ali sketch...for some reason I thought the photos called for were horizontal and they weren't they were vertical (rolling eyes at myself) also when I went to print the pics, they wanted to cut off the photoshopping I had done (my printer likes to crop and I didn't want them cropped so I had to put the white border and then cut it off in order to leave the detail. So the pics are going a different way and they are a different size, however I think it still has great flow and Ali would be the first to tell you YOU CAN ADAPT THE SKETCH!

This is DD and I snuggling and listening to Michael Buble...her FAVE. I played it for her when I was pregnant all the time especially when I was trying to get her to turn around. Anytime she is cranky all I have to do is throw on the "Bubbles" and give her some cuddles! I should mention I had to Photoshop in the pics which is why the embellies are under and not over the pics...out of ink!

Here's a couple LOs I did that didn't get shared yet.

Had fun with this one, I embossed the stripes in my cuttlebug swiss dots folder and the flower...I actually cut the corner out of it for a more 3D effect. I love that smile!
This one is this last years Christmas with Santa pic! I really liked working on this LO...it's all bits and pieces of leftover papers and just a snip of the prima ribbon (??? for lack of a better word)Two small 3/4 or so inch snip of this K&Co. ribbon stuff I've been hoarding that Debbie gave me years ago!!
I love the berries they look like they have frost on them! The Chipboard title I traced on CB because I didn't know how it would turn out and I didn't want to ruin the beautiful Title that Tammy gave me.
Then I painted it and then covered it in tissue paper then I stickled it. I like the effect and the tissue I was saving for some perfect project like this!

And here is my LO :)Sheesh the MME one came out big compared to mine...click on the LO to zoom in if you like! It's My little gal having a blast at the waterpark...she makes me giggle nearly the whole time! Uses Bloom and Grow and some more of the papers from my HOME stack...love them! I made the Silhouette cutting file myself after seeing something similar and not being able to find out who made the die cut I just cut my own!

A new LO-A lift

I did this as a challenge over at My Creative Scrapbook to do a lift of a DT members work. I did this one of Delaina's because she had done a step by step showing how she used the smaller die cut shapes and a light bulb went off for me...I can cut these shapes on the sil but since they won't cut at 12X12 I figured I had little use for them except for journal boxes...now I can use some pretty papers and still save the design of the paper I want! The title is a sil cut, the heart/flower shape and the bracket shape are from UK scrappers.

Alls I got is 3 cards to share today.

his LO was for a challenge on Scrapping outback...usually I just hang with my Aussie girls and scrap at the crops but I never seem to get the monthly challenges done. Well this month Julie put up the perfect challenge, with all the Ali Sketches I've been doing I am left with LOs that are 1,2, 3 and even some 4 pic LOs to do so since the sketch was for 3 pics I took advantage of that fact and did up this LO. The little You're a Winner Chipboard piece was from Scrapping Outback that I won during a crop.

Then while I was scrapping in the Outback...I did Jane's challenge- Baby card thank you's with a paper piecing and stamping and some blue.

I'm actually going to see if I can get all the challenges accomplished...that would be something for me! LOL

A quick Layout and something special I did up.

First the quick LO not that it's not special, it is too but you'll see in a minute what I was trying to say...these pics are really old, so I wanted to get them done so I could fill up the gap in DDs first album! There will hopefully be more of these Layouts to come. :) These are two shots of DD with her Daddy on two days that were close together so I scrapped them together.The frame is a My Scrapchick cutting file.

Next up is a project I have been working on on the side, it's one of those things I just had to pick at as I needed tiny pieces, and frankly I'm not convinced it's totally finished there is a square or two I may still add to.
Here we go anyway....This is a? Shadow box? Curio shelf piece. I started by painting it red and then I crackled it...well I don't know why it didn't work so well but since it didn't crackle everywhere I took and sanded back the second coat of black paint to expose the red in spots. I was TOTALLY inspired to get this done when I finally found the Tim Holtz Lost and found papers...it's Exactly what I envisioned it to be in!! I actually have 2 to 3 more of these to do...anyway I'll just show you because the rest speaks for itself.

The key represents DD holding the key to our hearts and being the "key" to the family we are. (see top with family and the Lock and heart)

A Double Double Zoo Layout....How Canadian is that? LOL

This LO is actually Two Double Layouts. For you who are not familiar with Tim Horton's of Canada a Double Double is a Coffee Tim H. offers (it's a coffee shop/Donut shop :) )
Anyhoo there are twenty six photos in the Double Double. Oh and as far as the journaling goes...yes it's crooked, somehow it moved when heading through the printer, yes I had paper and I could have re printed it but I thought it looked cool so I left it like that...my motto is "I meant to do that!" There are no accidents, just opportunities don't cha know :) I made the Giraffe PP over the stripes myself by inking a piece of 1/2 inch CS with Tim's Vintage photo and then coloring in the spots and then applying glue and then flocking. It's an Allison Davis sketch again and the word ZOO is courtesy of My Scrapchick it's actually a word book but I shrunk it down.I may go back in and add a couple of embellishments but I might not as I put in the PP instead of CS making it a little busier than without it...still I might ;)

This is our Halloween LO...I had previously done a one pager with just the pics of DD standing, but I wanted all the photos in one spot so this is it. It's another Allison Davis sketch.
On a side note I have heard people say they like to have there pics printed in a shop versus at home because they are of a better quality. Um Me? Not so much the top right photo I printed off as I needed it to go horizontal not vertical (the original is hiding in the pull out tab as it is a full shot but didn't work with the sketch) At any rate the ones printed out are dark and gloomy compared to the ones I print off so I probably won't be using that store again if any to do my printing, it was my first and possibly last experience with that!
Anyway...here's the LO

First we have a LO of my DD and hubby ...I love the way she was looking at him with so much love in her eyes.

Next is a Layout from Christmas...I didn't take very many photos (bad bad Mommy!) But in my defense I was living in the moment playing with my little gal having a great time- so here it is.

First up...two Ali Davis sketch LOs I got done. Both are with recent pics.
First LO is Beach Baby, Beach Baby, gimme your hand. It's of DD and I at the Beach and her first time in the ocean. We went while Daddy was on vacation. I made my own Background Patterned paper for this one not having anything suitable in my stash!

Next is a LO of DD and I playing at the water park. She takes after me in that she loves the water.

Okay...not Ali related but still rolling with the mojo is a simple fast one... I was inspired by a LO by Jules the bling Princess...Mine is way simpler and not as elaborate believe me...anyway, here is my "Sweet" gal (older pics)

The first Layout is another Ali sketch...this is DD enjoying some milk with a milk mustache to boot. I have to add the journaling still...it goes right below the flower with the Milk bottle cap. I have edited to add...Milwk is the way I say Milk to her hence the Title. LOL!

The second Layout is DD when she was teething...we can't find that little rubber duckie anywhere....bummer it was sooooo cute! I wish we had it...I have a perfect spot for it in one of my shadow boxes :(

Let me start with the disclaimer I'm not usually a sketch type gal...I do my own thing and sketches usually don't work out for me- I just don't like how they turn out for some reason... but I LOVE Ali's sketches!
I won one of Ali's Sketch books which put me over the moon. It also left me mojoless while I waited for the book to come (not so patiently) as soon as it got here I dove it....in two days I have done these two LOs (I would have done more but I have a little gal and am left to scrap during naps LOL! Which is fine...I love my girl time with her! :) )
Anyhoot...here they are, #1 is when she first sat up...her special blankie that her Auntie Andra gave her gave her just enough weight on her legs to sit up.
#2 LO is just some pics I took because I thought DD looked cute in her little outfit one of DH's co-worker's gave to DD.

A LO of DD at the park having some fun. I made the PP in behind the photos...the green the blue and the hot pink, it may not show overly well but I embossed with an iridescent powder to have the same effect as the bubbles in the pic, and to be blingy like the striped paper

I made these stationary boxes that hold cards, and tags from a template off splitcoast stampers I added a little paper lace to it that wasn't on the template other than that it's just like the one's there. Here's a linky for you...go look they're fun!

And this is a shadowbox frame class I took, it's the first SB class I have ever taken, it was fun there was only one other person showed up and she was late so I was in a class of my own LOL!

Did this Layout for a Challenge for My Mind's Eye to design an "I remember" page. The journaling was really hard for me not to write a book LOL! The journaling reads

Long overdue....

This LO is really long overdue...you know the ones that are really important but you haven't done. I had to get all the individual pics off my flip video (hence why it is not the best picture quality photos) Never the Less this was an important LO I felt to get done. I didn't embellish this one alot, frankly I didn't know what to add to it so I let the pictures just speak for themselves. My buddy Jennifer sent me some ripping rulers and I couldn't wait to "rip" them open and play with them so I used them on this LO at the bottom of the blue polka dot paper and the top of the striped paper! LOOOOOOVE them! If you click on the LO you will see them much better.
So this is my DD taking her first steps. :)

LOL So here it is, it follows parts of a sketch and then I did my own thing somewhere along the way. I hand cut the bracket paper from a template I made from some other papers and mixed some Graphic 45 with some K& co. nice mix I thought. :)

I know you are not asking me Tim who because if you know me- then you know which Tim I am referring to LOL (in case you don't know and have just popped into my blog from outer space (LOL) I am talking about the King of ink and all things Distressed...Tim Holtz)
So my newest distressing involves making my flowers I think the inking is what really gives them a realistic look. Yes it's a ton of work but it relaxes me. So here is a LO I did up for Tim to show how I distress. A very special Thanks!! goes out to Scrapping Outback for the Chipboard!! :)

I was hoping to flood my blog but it seems that mr. Mojo isn't cooperating with that idea...or perhaps it's a little girl I know conspiring with him LOL!
At any rate here's a couple I just got done...
First is one of my Little gal with her best pal at the time...Buddy Bear. At first this seemed like a silly toy to me but I soon realized how precious it was as she could clutch him when she was tiny! This was kinda marrying too styles my love for shabby distressed LOs and bright and colorful I like how it turned out.

This next one was inspired by my Aussie Buddy Trudi....I just hope I did justice to her inspiration! It's an all white (or in this case cream almost) and one color- pink LO. I was really happy with the crinkly gathered ribbon...all I did was to do a running stitch down the middle of the ribbon then I applied a double stick tape down to the LO and then put the gathered ribbon down. I liked it! :) TFL!!

So sorry...I just realized that pic of the Second LO is kinda blurry will replace it soon as I get a chance!

Two new Layouts!

I really would love to flood my blog with pictures...I am so far behind. I did a check and I have 158 days worth of photos to scrap and I have scrapped 35 days....WAY BEHIND!
So yesterday I started scrapping in the hopes to get at least one LO a day done....yesterday I did these two.
First one here is DD sporting her adorable overalls...shame that they don't get to wear these cute outfits longer

This next one is DD when she was just a few days old...she looks so tiny now...look at her in comparison to my hand! She used to be able to sleep sideways in that chair but that didn't last long...she outgrew it pretty quick! This Layout is very much my style before DD came along and I felt I should move into bright cutesy papers...I love a vintage feel and it felt great to do a LO in this style again...I should do them more often! Oh I meant to mention that Gabrielle inspired the ribbon weave!
