My Aunt gave her the suit and I think she looks super cute in it! But then I could be just a little biased! LOL

Happy Boxing day!
Hoping you had a lovely Christmas.
Lots to clean up today LOL
(not a flattering shot of me...but DD is having a great time of it!)
We had such a fun day yesterday, we played and played and then we played some more until finally we were played out!
Then we start it all over again! Life is good :) I can't think of a better way of celebrating then playing all day with my DD!
Hope you are all having a great holiday also...filled with love and fun. :)

Last minute bows
These bows are inspired by Leah Fung's Candy Cane fridays bow...find it here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSSWgwuNDGY&feature=player_embedded
They literally took a half hour to put them all together and only because wrapping your head around the move at first takes a bit...save time...cut 4 strips for each flower of 1 or 2 double sided papers and then punch the whole works at once with your cropodile if you have one... then alternate- I used one K&Co paper which was light on one side and dark on the other. My Pal Vanessa gave me the brads last year. :)

Second set of Ornaments
These are the second set of ornaments I made for my family....originally they were to have the picture of Santa and DD on the back but my printer will not print in black and white without color ink ...I thought I could get away with a B&W but noooooo.
So there they are.
Thanks to the talented Yvonne for the inspiration on these!

Holidays in Hand.
Today is the start of Jessica Sprague's Holidays in Hand class.
Today's assignment is to write your values and goals down.
This year I hope to start Traditions that will stick with our family throughout the years, it's my hope to make us all a pair of Holiday jammies to wear on Christmas Eve night so we are all "dressed" in the morning for opening prezzies and enjoying breakfast together. I wish for us to do many family togetherness things...like baking cookies, I know she is too young to understand now but still I want to start these traditions. I want the tradition that DH and I have and started with DD last year of a special holiday ornament to continue. I want DD to feel the warmth and the magic of the season. We will visit Santa and although she is too young we will write a letter to Santa Claus for her and save the response for her to read in years to come. I hope she will know much laughter and merriment through the seasons...Christmas is a special, magical time of the year and I hope she will feel that.

Our Fairy Princess
Our little Fairy Princess had a great time casting her spell on the neighbors last night. She didn't fuss but only once when I put her down at a doorstep so I could get a better hold on her...she didn't like that and I thought that might be the end of her fun for the night but no...so long as Mom and Dad were holding me I was okay. ;)

A LO based on an Ad challenge by Vikki and a Lyric challenge
So the ad looked like this
http://hypebeast.com/image/2008/02/swoosh-dvd-nike-cnbc.jpg
And you could use any part you liked as inspiration so the shoes spoke to me...DD just got her new Robeez and this was perfect so here's my take. My printer is out of ink so I had to photoshop in the pics but these are the pics I'll be using. I used Doodlebug and DCWV papers.

Oh what a beautiful mess!
Well it started off fairly neat...
But this is the beautiful mess! LOL I think she's pretty darned cute even messy...I had to put her in the tub before moving on to the presents!
On to the presents...can you find her? She's in there!
OMGosh! It's an Elmo!
Check out the cutie shoes her Autie B. gave her! We picked them out and she bought them for her. :)
It was a very fun day...she was really overloaded, LOTS of presents...put a few away for the family get together because it was just all too much I think. :) Thanks for peeking.

Tri-shutter mini album tutorial
I saw this idea in a gallery but when I followed the link it was not a tutorial but it was to buy the albums so I thought...Gee I have done a Tri-shutter card- I can do this! I have changed the dimensions from the card though so I could accommodate larger pictures for the album...you will be able to fit 3-almost 4X6 vertical pictures...you can fit whole pictures but you will no longer have any mat- if you trim just a smidgen off the pic you will still see your pretty papers. You will also be able to fit a "almost" or full size 3X4 horizontal picture.
What you will need is two pieces of the same colored 12X12 Cardstock, and I use three different types of coordinating Patterned paper (You will not need the full 12X12, you will have some left over.) You will also need a variety of embellishments some co-coordinating Cardstock and a ribbon for a closure if you wish or whatever type of closure you choose.
So let's get started! Please bear with me...I'm not one to write a quick sentence :)
I have done a crude draw up template for you to follow along with.
On one piece of 12X12 Cardstock start by cutting in half at the six inch mark. This gives you the two sides (which are indicated on the diagram as the large light blue and the large pink rectangles on the left side of the diagram) Marked cut between Side 1 and side 2 on the diagram
take one of the halves and score it going up the long way at 2, 4, 8 and 10 inches of the 12 inch length. (as indicated on diagram in hot pink)
Now you will cut at 1 1/2 inches from the edge between the 2" score line and the 10 inch score line. (as indicated on diagram in green)
Now the second side is done in the exact same way.
Now you will put these aside and working on the second 12X12 paper you will cut at 6 inches take one of these pieces and cut off a piece 4X6 and that will give you your inside middle (in peach on diagram) with the left over take and score it at 4 1/8th inches(hot pink line) and then cut it off at 6 1/8th inches(in yellow on diagram) this will provide your cover, put the leftover away in your scraps (marked in grey)
On the second 6X12 piece you will again score at 4 1/8th(hot pink) and cut at 6 1/8 inches. This is your second cover....set the two together aside.
Now lets take the two first pieces we set aside and do the folding.
The picture indicates how the folds should be done in each one...I am assuming you have a "good side" or textured side to your cardstock and this is facing towards the camera.
Now you will take the first piece cut from the second piece of Cardstock the Middle inside, apply the glue all over the back of this and you will stick it in between the Side 1 and side 2 on the end piece of side 1 and the first piece of side 2 to join them Make sure to line up the top and bottom and fold in the sides to ensure it is lined up correctly.
Now all you have to do is put on your cover pieces- fold on the score line we created and apply the glue to the backside of the 2 inch piece and attach to the start and end pieces of the album, at the back, making sure to line up the top and bottom and fold to ensure you have it in the right place.
Now you will decorate the book...I have done a few in advance and this will show you the various placements of the papers...but feel free to decorate as you wish and then embellish!
I generally use one paper for the inside covers and the middle inside mats for photos and then I use a different one for the outside covers
On the top small 1 1/2" pieces on the top and bottom I cover with a busier pattern and one more paper for the 2X6 strips and the 2X3 strips just inside the covers...and a plain mat for the 4X3 pieces on either side for smaller pictures. Once you have the base of the mini album put together this will make much more sense to you. (I HOPE! LOL) To do the Patterned papers I take the size of each panel and I take off 1/8th of an inch for each side so the 2X6 piece for instance I cut at 1 6/8 X 5 6/8.
Then you will decorate your cover with a closure you can use a scrap of Cardstock and attach a message or decoration I sandwich my ribbon tie underneath this so I can tie it closed.
You will notice that there may be a slight overlap in the cover "doors" you can either trim this before adding your closure or just close it so the left side is on the top.
I am including the link for the tri shutter card in case it helps you figure out the folds better...because part1 is folded in the same matter as the card (minus the cover) and part two is just folded in the opposite direction...if your Cardstock is not textured you can just do the folds the same and flip it so it goes in the opposite direction.

I have provided a short video to show you the album in it's entirety. They are a ton of fun to make! ENJOY!

DD takes 3 steps.
She has done it without knowing before when I am holding her and let go or when she's distracted from one place to another a step away but this time she went to daddy intentionally. :)
Working on Birthday invites
Even though I wish it were months and months away, the big day creeps closer.
These are the invites for the big day.
I made a cutting file which took a big chunk of time but what took more time was all the fiddly inking because I didn't have any red paper on hand (put rolling eye emoticon here)So here they are...just need to figure out what I will say on the inside of them.

SORRY REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION>Will put back up when I can ;)
I have a flip video recorder and when DD first said mama I caught it. One of the advantages of the program is being able to make pictures from the video so this is DD saying Mama. :)

Color my world.
This is a fun LO I put together of my DD it is for the SPCC color challenge but it has a twist- some First I photoshopped the picture to look like a sketch then I added the "magic" of color.
One pic doesn't show it all so I've added a couple in. I love interactive pages I hope my DD will love them too!

Not neglecting my blog
Well not trying too....Spent yesterday trying to figure out some paper engineering. With DD keeping me hopping I only got a few minutes here and there and then the first attempt flopped. The second effort was successful and now it's a matter of working it into a layout. The problem with reading challenges is they get stuck in my head...so now I am trying to work them into the LO when the LO really just seems to want to do it's own thing. DD fell asleep at the dinner table and so I have a few moments to my self... Well I'm off to make a couple embellies for it that I KNOW I want.
TTFN and go play! :)

So lets try adding some art!
Testing Testing.
Well I have taken the big step of starting my own blog...something I thought I would never do. I wish to share my art and since I often do hidden work sometimes one photo just doesn't do the trick so here I can share it all. It will take a bit for me to get this done but I hope it won't be too long before I will be able to share.
