a little Love ya bunches pull slider card

Funny, got this idea a while back but you know how it is, it's summer and playing with my little girl is my summer fun and keeping me hoppin'! So last night I sat down to create this idea that I have had for a little while and what I figured would be tha hardest part of said idea...the barrel.
I got the drawing done, watercolored it with zigs and then fear set in...all I had to do was outline it but I was terrified I would mess it up, so I left it.
So this morning comes and I am surfing as I always start my day and I see Sandy Alnock using the Love you bunches set from the Ellen Hutson United we flourish set from Lawn Fawn! Now cue the Twilight Zone music because Sandy says on her video how someone should make a barrel! So of course I had to finish off my version to share it with you all and of course Sandy too!  So here it is!
The outside
When you pull on the slider
And the inside of the card (after I took the picture I stamped Love you bunches at the bottom of it as I plan to give it to my girl next week when she heads back to school.)
And there you have my version of a barrel of monkeys!
Thanks for popping in and try to make time to get inky!

Distress Oxide card

Today I have a Distress Oxide card to share. I am SO in love with Distress oxide inks  that I don't even have words. Just when you think Tim Holtz and Ranger couldn't get better....they knock it SMACK outta the park! Okay I could go on and on, so let's just get to the card LOL

I started by ink blending be my cardstock with mustard seed, spiced marmalade and worn lipstick then I spritzed my panel. After that was dried I liberally spritzed Tim's- Ray stencil and placed it down on the panel with a paper towel covering it, then I removed the stencil and picked up the excess water once again I dried the panel. I then added Tim's Tree line thinlet's die cut to the bottom and stamped the sentiment from curious possibilities.
Thanks so much for popping in for a peek and have a lovely inky evening.

Once again I am SO enjoying another Online Card Classes class...this one is all about the sparkle and shine factor! This card was inspired by what Jennifer McGuire taught us on day one of the class yesterday.

I had a blast making this it uses a trio of  Martha Stewart glitters as well as Stampendous Halo Glitter. The sentiment is "Lovely" by Julie Essentials by Ellen set, the cover plate is by the Ton- the Geometric Lattice Cover plate. The floral stamp is Altenew Vintage Roses, the leaves are a Spellbinder's die.

What' the occasion?

I am joining in with the new Lawn Fawnatics outstanding Occasions challenge. My daughter was performing, which may not be a big deal to a lot of folk ...but my DD is very shy so I thought I would mark this occasion with a card of Congratulations for a job well done!
I started by using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks for my background then I cut out the star with the puffy star die, I backed it with a shaker pouch I made with the Fuse tool from WRMK then I cut the Scripty Congrats dies and cut that from glitter foam, the stamps used for this one were the So jelly, Year Six,and Mermaid for you Lawn Fawn Stamps set.
Thanks for peeking in on my l'il' card and have yourself a crafty day eh!

Where Creativity Meets C9!

I decided to play along with the newest challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9 blog. The challenge is to "Try something new" and since I had this brand new heartstrings die it only made sense to break it in with this challenge!
So here's my card I did up the background in twisted citron Distress ink and inlaid the die pieces after coloring with some zig markers on Bristol smooth cardstock, then topped it with Wink of Stella((too bad glitter doesn't show as purdy Pics as IRL).
Thanks for popping in for a peek!

Having some fun with My Favorite things!

I sat down to make some Valentine cards and I remembered the newest sketch from the MFT Card challenges blog, sketch Challenge 315 and thought I would join the fun. So my two entries use the blueprints tag builders 3 dienamics set as well as the happy hedgehogs stamp set

On this last cart on the left I a silver strip of cardstock...it might be hard to see because of how reflective it is. Also I used the6x6 Sweet Celebration paper pack. I had lots of fun playing along! Thanks for popping in for a peek!
