12 tags of 2012
I'm getting a 2012 tag done on time and posting! LOL
So here it is!
Now...I just got these stamps and had to put them through a good workout! and besides I thought I needed some tags -turns out I found my tags after I started in on these, but alas it was too late- I was hooked! here is what I made with them...First was the Tin soldiers
Next up was the tree-Don't you love when you are digging through your stash and find something perfect??? I found a small piece of lights and it was PERFECT for my tree!
then I started messing around with the snowflake
Then I had an idea to use my white staz on, which didn't work to great but I embellished
Before I even got these this was my idea- I didn't over embellish any of these because I really did want them to be functional but I loved the vintage lace with my Series- Blueprints of Tim's blueprints- I used Tim's Paint resist technique and then I used his spritz and flick and then I added white flicks and then I gave them a spirtz of shine, of course the pictures don't do justice to any of the bling on any of the tags I made but they are all shiny.
And individually in case you want the close up.
OH and I forgot...this is one of the 12 tags of Christmas with a feminine twist I did
So that is some of my Christmas preparations DONE! :D TFL!

My December Daily- a video for you to see it.
I have been working like mad to finish this December daily...it's HUGE! and I love that! I need more than 1 picture per day because if I am doing this I don't want to be doing seperate LOs for everything just to show the pictures and if we are making ornaments/cookies etc. there is bound to be more than one picture. I hate my voice on tape but here it is...I was nervous taping it so please be kind! LOL
Thanks for peeking! Just click the highlighted title below to see.

My mojo abandoned me for a bit so please excuse my absence! I have a couple more Disney LOs to share...this first one took me more than a few days to do...and it was a lift at that from a Silhouette sketch LOL
Uses alot of Tim inks, the Tim rosette and MME papers.
And now ....a 2 pager, I have a Dicken's of a time making a "Disney" kid like LO! LOL but I think I kinda pulled it off this time!
Used lots of Distress inks on the papers and then are CTMH and MS and MME. The stamps are CTMH too! MS punch, MME die cut flowers Disney papers cut up for embellies and a Disney bottle cap sticker, die cuts and dimensional title sticker. Think that covers it! :D

In an effort to catch up somewhat!
I am so sorry for ignoring my blog as of late, I have had to deal with some things but I shan't bore you with that!
We were away on vacation...DD's first. Disneyland so get ready for a pile of LOs from there!
First LO I did...DD with a chance encounter with Cinderella and Aurora.
This second LO is on the Mark Twain ship- I just love the wonder in my DD's eyes at every turn! It was such a special time for me to see the magic come alive for her.
Cutting files from Kerri Bradford- sketch from SG (of course)
Next I have a LO of shots from the Airport and DD's first take off! I thought she might be frightened as she doesn't like loud noises but she LOVED it! and she definitely shares has the wanderlust! My own design and Kerri Bradford's cutting files.
Now one from DD at the Princess Fantasy Faire. This LO is based on a Page maps sketch (a challenge on my CDN board) Also Kerri Bradford's cutting files again (what can I say? I LOVE them!!)
This last one is a photo that most people would think was a lousy shot...it's blurry for some reason none of the shots in this area- Buena Vista Street at night...did not come out but I love the colors, the trolley and the arty nature of the photo! To me it's a WINNER! My design, tons of Tim stuff :D I had fun with this one! Who am I kidding... I had fun making them ALL!
Thanks for dropping by for a peek if you did! :) Hope you enjoyed!

Creative Chemistry with Tim Holtz Day 3
Okay so this class is too fab! I'll admit I wanted to take it purely for the inspiration I KNEW I would get from Tim. Didn't know how many new things I might learn being a loyal follower of his and having tried most of his cool techniques but I am learning something new EVERY day! FUN, FUN, FUN!!
Now I am sorry that I cannot tell you any of the secrets...I am sworn to secrecy but you can take the class too! you can sign up here... http://www.onlinecardclasses.com/timholtz/
Here is the first tag we tackled today.
I didn't have the Ranger ink I needed...
however Tim was such a fabulous teacher that I managed to find a Hero Arts substitute...but I'll be getting the Ranger inks I hope!
and now for the final tag. Again I didn't not have (but will be getting hopefully) the Tim Texture fade for this tag but I wiggled by using a Cuttlebug folder.
The main thing I wanted for now was to get my techniques down and be able to document them on my tags. YAY for improvisation! LOL

Tim's 12 tags of 2012!- March and using it on a a LO
Another fabulous tag of fun from Tim!! His tag for March
So to start off...I didn't have the woodgrain stamp, so I inked my tag in various colors, then I stamped Tim's flourish stamp with Picket Fence stain...Love that stuff!
I wanted to use my tag...so I used the "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain." stamp. I actually had a picture I had taken and this was the exact quote I wanted to use before I even got the stamps!! I stamped that on the tag in Festive berries and then took my Prisma colored pencils to color in the holes in the letters and the open spots in the font, then I added some shadowing to the letters with a fine tipped marker. For my mosaic piece I didn't have the butterfly die so I hand cut a cloud out of grunge and then for my embossing since I didn't have cement I used Enamelware on it. Glossy accented the mosaic pieces. I love the Tim flowers and I used Tammy Tutturow's technique on them! I also added rain drops and glossy accented them. For the Crumpled ribbon I used Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Barn door stains. So here is the final tag.
(Sorry for all the extra area around the tag...I tried to Photoshop it and it changed the size of the tag.) Remember you can click on the image to get it bigger!
So then as I said I wanted to use my tag on a page so here's the page, using a scrapbook Generation sketch.
and a close up of the corner embellie...using Tim's Ticket and a rolled rose (MFT) on a Spellbinders scalloped circle.
TFL!!

FUN STUFF!
I had alot of fun making this LO. My own design, using all scraps of papers! Attempting layers but still it's not layered like others I see...I try but the LO always seems to tell ME when I am done! LOL All MME Lost and found with the exception of the tag which is a scrap of BG that I just love!
No journaling since it's pretty evident that DD is just playing dress up!

Tim's 12 tags of 2012!
Here's my first tag from Tim's tags of 2012.
I didn't have a matching stamp and embossing folder so I did molding paste with a template and then after drying I put the template back on and used the white dabber over the raised areas and then inked. I used a tattered florals flower I made to sub for the honeycomb heart (though I think that is the coolest!) I had one cupid from Tim's grungeboard set so I traced it on the back of another piece of grunge and hand cut the cupid inked and used Rock Candy stickles. Since I didn't have the spun sugar stain I tried worn lipstick...didn't care for the color so I went over it with Barn door. I like the end result- reminds me of a tea rose! and there is my attempt on Tim's tag! TFL!

Oh You Beautiful Doll!
A little LO I did up...practicing my layering again. Here it is...complete with some close ups of my embellies! I loved the new Dear Lizzy embellies so much I had to try doing up my own I used my Tim stamp, MFT's rolled rose with a piece of MME and a scrap of MME Kiss and tell. The pink doily flower came from a lady I lovingly call Mamado! She's a whiz with the ole hook and yarn! The little blue and pink flower is Also Tim's idea-ology flowers using a Tammy Tutterow tutorial.
