Tim's 12 tags of 2013- December.
So I have a cold that was given to me at Christmas even though I said I did NOT want said cold! But I have done every month of Tim's tags and I wasn't going to let a cold keep me from rounding out my year of Tim tags!! If you want to play along you still have a couple days...you can head over to Tim's blog to see his tutorial for his December tag of 2013 Okay, so I didn't have the poinsettia, or the holly or the stamp. STILL I was going to try to make it work for me! I used the tattered leaves and glue gunned them into a poinsettia the best I could. after I was all done it felt a little bare without ? the little cedar sprigs? so I went all Tim retro and threw on the Fabulous flourish stamp that was made popular the year he used it on every tag. (good memories!)
The camera really doesn't pick up how pretty the frosted film is IRL if you haven't played with it you should!
A Big huge thank you to Tim for a spectacular year of tags and 12 months of fun!! :D

Tags cards and more tags...
The cards and the tags I got done last week and the little tags I just got done and I thought I would share as the little tags took literally less than a half hour to bang them all off- yep they are simple I just needed some little tags for some smaller sized gifts.
This set is loaded with Tim stuff (oh surprise surprise!) Tim Mini Holiday stamps, Sizzix embossing folders, Tim diffuser plates, Tim's Layered stencils, Distress ink and paints and stains.Ranger archival.
These have...Tim holtz distress ink, paints, stains and Distress markers and Distress crackle paints. Also Tim's Wallpaper stamps, Wendy Vecchi's stencils,Wendy Vecchi embossing paste, Lawn fawn stamps, inkadinkado stamps. Ranger Archival.
On these tags we have Tim holtz Mini Holiday stamps, Tim's inks and stains and distress markers as well as Wendy Vecchi's Archival inks,Wendy Vecchi's embossing paste. Kaisercraft stamps, Simon says Stamps Stencils,Penny black stamps. Ranger Archival.
And last but not least some simple staples tags that were inked in Tim's Distress inks and then stamped in Mini Holiday stamps and Distress inks and then sentiments from the same collection in Ranger Archival and then I topped them off with some biscotti perfect pearls spray.

LOL Skate card! (well mines a tag so far)
So I just caught Tim's post about ?? maybe an hour ago or so?? and he did a skate tag that he turned into a card. Very cool piece.
I had started this tag, just doing bits and pieces of it, I had the skate complete and the Background but something was missing so I left it.
When I saw Tim's I thought okay...and I added the greenery and the Christmas word band. Oh if I had had that pine cone die...it SO would have been on there! Thanks Tim! you posted just at the PERFECT TIME!!
Sorry about the picture, it's night and I don't have great lighting :D

Putting some Creative Chemistry on my LO!
After taking Tim's Creative Chemistry 102 class I really wanted to take some of the techniques onto my Scrapbook pages. So here is a LO that uses several of them- including Mixed Media layering,Stencil sketching,Stencil Stamping,Paint monoprint,Shabby Chic-I think that's it!
You can take Tim's class here
You have to take Creative Chemistry 101 to be able to take Creative Chemistry 102...both fabulous classes!
I also used a tag that you may have seen before that I did technique on the ornate plate ( the blue tag) that I made up taking a Tim technique and a Tammy Tutterow technique and marrying the two called distress paint enamelware...you can find the tutorial for that here
I also wanted to add a second little tag so I followed some of Tammy's inspiration found on this post for the little tag
It's a pretty Timmy heavy LO ,as a matter of fact everything on this LO is Tim related except for the Kerri Bradford cutting file on DCWV paper and Hero arts Alpha stamps, a punch, some bling, 3 flowers and a piece fibre and a charm! I've used several of his stamps- adverts, simple sayings, wallpaper and wood, mini blueprints 2, love struck. Also several of his layered stencils, Distress paint, distress inks, distress stains, Distress embossing powders and Ranger Archival and ranger enamelware embossing powder
Thanks for taking a peek!!

Tim's Twelve tags of 2013 - November
Well this month I am right on top of Tim's tag! Just so happens I was playing around days before with Blueprint Christmas cards so I was already in the Chalkboard mode still inspired from Tim's Creative Chemistry 102 class. The only thing I had left to do was to finish chalking up my sentiment and adhere them onto my cards. So I went ahead and did Tim's tag and here that is
I had fun with it too! This really is the most realistic chalk technique out there!!
Okay then I went to finishing my cards so I could post them with...I chalked the sentiments and decided that I liked Tim's Pumice stone ones so much that I changed my mind and went with them... only I used a colored outline. Here they are...
I put these on Red CS so the white card would show....so it's a white card with Red and Green Mats (and this is a Mowed Lawn or true green, it's looking limey on my comp. but it's not it's green) and then the chalkboard piece.
I didn't have Tim's Stamp and die sets so I had to fussy cut them....I am so glad that I had the Frosted Crystal embossing powder from Creative Chemistry 102..and by the way...if you haven't taken Tim's class yet....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? :D Go! you'll be glad you did!
TFL! Have a great day!

Tim's 12 tags of 2013
Okay I had to change up the look in colors and also in the glitter to get Tim's 12 tags of 2013 October tag done.
I tried using the ripe persimmons and didn't have the seedless preserves to off set it, I tried pumice and persimmons but my pumpkin got lost in the Background, I had been wanting to try a pumice and black and white and pewter combo, I don't have the black in stain or paint so I just swiped my ink pad and then added the paints and then spritzed and swiped my tag. Then I did the black inking of the edges as Tim did...LOVED it! (on both tags it was awesome!) and then I stamped the Halloween blue print minis and some script. I then used paint (pumice) and stain (ripe persimmon) on my crinkle ribbon.
My pumpkin embellishment- I did not have any colored glitter but I did have the rock candy and so I inked it and then added the glossy accents and then the Rock Candy glitter,
then I brought the pumpkin to life with walnut stain ink on the edges.I do love how it turned out. Thanks for looking!

Creative Chemistry tags for Day 5.
Oh my I am having some fun I tell you! Today's class was all about embossing. So without further ado I share with you my tags for today (FUN STUFF!!)
All of them together
The close ups...
Rusting technique
Sticky Glitter Technique
Shabby Chic Technique
and a technique that tops all other techniques I have tried for this look...
Chalkboard Technique.
The man is a MASTER!! I have had SO much fun I can't even tell you! Thank you Tim!
Thanks to Jennifer and Kristina for a site that hosts TOP QUALITY great classes!
Quick post of Creative Chemistry Day 4 pictures!
I have to post this quickly because I have an exciting Jam packed day of class with Tim to do still but I wanted to get this posted. If you are interested in Creative Chemistry 102 head over to http://onlinecardclasses.com
You will have had to already taken Creative Chemistry 101 in order to take 102 but you can sign up for both right there!
Okay so yesterday we worked with alcohol inks and here are my tags all together.
(On these I did a little more than just technique because that's what Tim suggested and hey...when Tim speaks this girl perks up her ears to listen!)
And the closeups of each tag are as follows...
Faux Patina technique.
Tinted Tinsel....unfortunately I did not have Tim's tinsel so I had to use what I had...which luckily worked out!
Ombre technique, and again I did not have the proper alcohol ink colors so I had to work with the Alcohol inks I had.
Monoprint technique.
And last but not least a real favorite of mine, faded layers technique.
and now I have to run and attend class! (I've watched it through once as I always do and now it's time to get down to bidness!)
TFL!

Creative Chemistry 102 Day 2
Okay today was day 3 but I am posting day 2 pics today and I HOPE to have day 3 up after this...if only my crackle will DRY! LOL
Okay but on Day 2 we played with layered stencils and here is the tags, again I don't embellish my tags as I keep them for reference and if you put a bunch of embellies than it just makes it harder to see the actual technique.
Techniques included in the class were Mixed Media Layering technique, Embossing with stencils technique, stamping technique sketching technique ink monoprint technique and paint monoprint technique.
Whew! That was one BUSY but fun day...as is today's class....but THAT will be in another post!
ETA I am editing in some closeups, I thought I had taken single pics of everything but I guess I figured I wasn't going to post them like that and didn't bother but here are a few and I'll take pictures in the morning and add them in in case anyone is interested.

Creative Chemistry 102
So I have been super busy the last couple of days...studying, Uh I mean playing with the Master...Tim Holtz in his Creative Chemistry 102 Class and I'm having an INKY BLAST!!
So I'm sharing the technique tags I got done. If you want to know how they are done...RUN and sign up for Tim's class...believe me it's WELL WORTH IT! Tim knows how to do a class well I tell you!
So here is Day one's tags
We covered Distress Paint marbling,
colored crackle technique,
Altered surfaces technique,
eroded metallics technique,
Stamping resist techniques,
and Industrial technique.
I do not foo foo up my tags and add stamping etc. because I want to be able to look at the technique itself.
BUT...I did do some other pieces...like this card.
And this tag...I like the masculine/feminine mix of it all.
And then....I had altered a pair of jeans for my DD so they would be more "girly" and I added some butterflies (Tim's butterfly die :D) and some blingy trim she found and they looked like this
But then I took Tim's class I was inspired and they turned into ...these...
Better I think!!
I still have a couple of today's tags to do so I'll post them tomorrow so I can get a good picture in the morning. :D! TFL!
