Christmas In June
Inspiration Emporium is having a Christmas in June challenge over on their blog.
First I am entering one of these three cards
and then I will add one of these three cards
While I could probably enter all six....I figured I would do one from each color family set since they were pretty much done in the same way which was...
I inked the wallpaper stamp (alternating the wood grain with the wallpaper) in distress ink (alternating both iced spruce distress ink and Evergreen bough Distress ink) and then I spritzed the stamp with the mini mister bottle and then applied the watercolor paper to the stamp covered it with scratch paper and gave it a rub, making sure not to move while doing so, to get good coverage and then I let that dry, cut a circle out with Tim's circle dies then on Neenah Solar white CS I stamped the various mini Holiday collection stamps stamps for the backing for the windows of the watercolor pieces. I then took 4X8" CS (half of the cards done in the red(3), half done in the green (3) scored them at 4" on the 8" side so I got 4" square cards and then used the envelope punch board to create tab cards out of them all and then mounted the stamped images/sentiments and then the watercolor papers with the circle windows over them.
Then I am entering this one also
This one I used Tim's Holly Layering stencil and inked a full A2 card front with it. Inked it with Shabby shutters, Peeled paint and festive berries and a touch of gathered twigs distress inks using the Mini ink blending tool Added some glossy accents for the berries. Then I stamped the mini holiday stamps in Jet Black archival
Rounded the corners and then inked the edges in Walnut stain ink.
and for my last entry for this challenge I give you this card...
For this one I stamped the Christmas Blueprint stamp on Watercolor paper in Jet black Archival and colored it with the distress markers and the water brush. When it was dry I fussy cut out the image and inked the edges with the black soot marker. Then I use a piece of mirror cut frameworks Mounted to a piece of red CS and then mounted the tin soldier image with dimensional tape and also a Seasonal salvage sticker which was sanded and inked just under for him to "stand" on. I then mounted the whole thing on a white A2 card.
I had a blast making all of these cards for the Inspiration Emporium challenge and I love having gotten some of my Christmas stuff done so it was not left till the last moment!
Thanks for popping in to take a peek...here's hoping you find time to get inky!

Tim's-12 tags of 2014 June tag and more inspiration from April's tag!
First let me start off by telling you that this post is Holtz inspired heavy...first I am sharing with you this months tag from Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2014 June tag
So here's my version following Tim's directions except I was drawn to certain words on his remnant rubs so I used those versus stamping. I used his "Arrows" layering stencil
I had so much fun making these that I made a couple cards to go with. Here's one that uses the "Dot fade" layering stencil
and how about another? this one uses the bubble Layering stencil
I also have a couple more that I haven't made into cards yet so you will probably see those sometime soon! if you want more inspiration and if you missed my posts from the watercolor class you may want to have a peek back at this post of mine.
And now....still inspired by April's tag from Tim and a fresh new frameworks die, that needed some breaking in, I came a whole different project other than another tag- I decided to make a canvas. I had made this metal transfer image a while back and when I got the mini cabinet cards it immediately went into one. I wanted to give it a nice home so I decided to go with a canvas for it. Here is what I came up with...the BG was inspired by Tim's tag for 2014 April tag seen here
and some close ups
I am entering my Canvas piece into the Simon says Stamp-
Anything Goes challenge.
Thank you for popping in for a peek, and for making it to the end of this post if you did!! and here's hoping you get inky soon! :D

What can I say?
When it comes to the Winnie and Walter Stamps...I can say A LOT of things! So I'll warn you up front that this is a LONG post! :D
I've been playing and playing, I should have done some posting but between playing and chasing around my little gal, the ending of the school year- which is crazy with field trips and other little special things, the time just slipped away with me. SOooo Let me start with some more cards that I did up for the Winnie and Walter Playdate #2
Let's see...how about this one
I do love doing stenciling with distress inks, it's another one of these things that relaxes me (seems distress is relaxing to me! LOL big surprise!)
This first one was inspired by the colors and also the frame with flowers in it (of course it's not the exact same flowers but that's what inspired my card.
And then...still inspired by the color palette, and also the new releases- all the words I could stamp!! What fun! I came up with this card,
and the inside
And another with a frame and flowers, these colors, and anything with flowers is right up my alley it's not a stretch for me to be inspired and keep the inspiration rolling! So here's another this time I added some of my homemade paper flowers I made with the Tim Holtz Garland die.
I was even inspired to do up a card for my Hubby for Father's day! This one has stenciling with a pearlescent embossing paste, I love that subtle shine.
and the inside
Now I decided to try my hand at the flowers on the Big the Bold and the Extra set here on this one, still fixated and on the frame and the flowers and colors from the original Playdate #2 posting I played around with my peerless watercolors and came up with this card
on the inside
and just a few more that do not make the challenge but I still had fun making in the case of this first one... the photo did not have good lighting but I was in a hurry to send it off in the mail and could not take another picture now that it is gone, but it shows a little bit more of just how many things you can say with the Winnie & Walter stamp sets, you should probably just get used to seeing them around my blog because I wrote out a list off the top of my head of about sixty phrases for cards and LOs, and with each release I have no doubt that list will grow! :D
And this one I loved though the color of the BG is not in keeping with the Playdate challenge so I'll just share it here with you!
And I am willing to share a boo boo with you too...this one I just love but the die slipped when I ran it through my machine and the embossing is off but it so reminds me of my Mom.
I hope to have more for you soon too because I just received my new order that included the "Scenery:Big Bang Confetti and "The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect" Stamp sets.
The above cards are made up of a combination of The Big the Bold and You, The Big the Bold and the Happy, The Big the Bold and the Extras, The Big the Bold and the Fun.
Now I thank you for popping in for a peek if you did...OMGosh! What time is it?? Oh my! it's time to go get inky! Have fun! and hopefully I will see you soon with more new stuff because it's coming! :D
I will list my Winnie and Walter supplies only this time (as this is my first time testing out inlinkz to link my supplies)
