had a little fun today

Kind of a personal challenge, I've been calling left-overs.
You see when I create I usually will end up doing extras, trying out a technique using one set of colours, then I might try again in another color combo, or when I get a new Lawn Fawn set (or any stamps really I just use them as an example because they have so many stamps in their sets) I usually stamp off a bunch of stuff and try different colours or looks, and just sit and color (so does my DD) Perhaps I might do a piece with a frame..I keep the inside of the die cut. It might even be that I try out a fancy fold card just for fun...well I have a little box on my desk and I just stick the larger pieces I don't use in there and I have a couple of boxes and small buckets that I keep extra stamped bits in. Well today I took some of the "left-overs" out and made seven quick little cards in the afternoon between running out to the water park and making dinner and so here they are.

The background was water coloured with distress inks a while back and I had a few Ellie's stamped and die cut out just for this card idea.
The Lawn Fawn Let's BBQ stamps I coloured a couple weeks back trying out some chameleon markers. The vellum circle was leftover from my Online card class and the real leftover was the background using Hero Art's five lines Background stamp.
I long while ago I coloured these Lawn Fawn images from the on the Mend set, the heart piece was a scrap in my scraps file I just trimmed the punched piece to size and I had this background from the centre of another card I had cut a frame from and I also had a 4 bar card leftover from a class so I just added the panel and trimmed off a wee bit from the four bar.
Okay this one I had started but I had die cut the Simon Says Birthday Circle die out of pink and it didn't stand out enough and I moved on with a different idea and these got forgotten in my die box. I really like the Pebbles Lakeshore paper!
These two cards were made with some femme frames from Mama Elephant I had Cut a bunch of. The background made from distress inks and a the crafter's Workshop mini Flwer stencil, if I ran remember that far back...I believe the background was too similar to the rest of the pieces of my card. I got two card from cutting a frame from one and adding in the black panel and then die cutting the Simon Says Stamp Sending die out both the stencilled and the black centre panels and in laying it into the opposite piece, I then finished stamping the rest of the sentiment with the co-ordinating Sending and Wishing stamp set.
And the last card of the day was this one
The card base was made just trying out stamping the background with Mama Elephant's boutique Borders Stamp set. The flowers are from one of my very favourite sets Altenew's Vintage Roses...I Always stamp them in several colours and arrangements so I can pick and choose so I always have a nice little pile of these on hand then I just stamped the Simon Says Stamp Big Scripty Greeting die because it was handy...and I LOVE it!
I had so much fun I'm sure I'll be having more fun with more left-overs again soon!
So now let me ask...do you keep your  left-overs?

Here's to Fintastic Friends!

I do love me some Lawn Fawn, they are such fun designs. I also love me some Tim Holtz distress,so when I use distress inks to color Lawn Fawn Stamps...well then I'm having myself a party!
I had a blast making this multi-mask card (forgot to mention that I also LOVE masking!)
Oh and another thing I love is a good surprise!
And how about a little bit more fun? How about we throw just a little PTI in for the fun of it,and shake things up a bit?

Whee! Now that was fun!
Hope you have a great day :D

Thanks for popping in for a peek, if you did, and if you took the class how did you like the format this time around of creating bugs for a couple days then making cards? I really kind of liked it! I think it's the reason I got nearly twenty-five cards made

oh I have been having fun! day 3 cards

Making cards out of backgrounds from online card classes background check class...so much fun!  So here are my cards from day 3.
These were some from Kristina.
And then a couple from Laura...I wish I had more stripes I would have done more plaids- I'm going to try to get a few more done but I have a prior engagement for tomorrow so I wanted to make sure I got to post what I did do!
So here we go
Now I have a couple from Jennifer, I have more backgrounds done so I'll try to get a few more done...I don't know why but I had more trouble with Jennifer's stud even though I had done the techniques before! So this first one I don't care for but in the spirit of keeping it real I'm showing the good and the bad.
And one I LOVE
And there you have what I have done right now. You really should head over to Online card classes if you didn't take this class because it was an awesome class!
