Countdown continued.
So here we have the final days on the countdown that I made for my DD.
I'll give you a brief description on these pages...first up is Day 7-
With a Background I did in the distress stains and soap foam technique with a Tim Holtz texture fade then I added one of the birthday blueprint stamps and all the the numbers I have added on all of the countdown pages are from the word play die.
Now day six had Peeled paint, worn lipstick, faded blue jeans and walnut stain distress inks and they were applied with the foam blending tool- I then used Tim's water stamping technique with his flourish stamp. I then stamped the mini blueprint stamps onto the background and then I added popped up versions on top that were stamped in archival onto watercolor paper and then colored with distress markers.
Five uses Tim's distress stains and one of his texture fades and the simple sayings stamp for the label and then I took various stamps in the set and inked the selective letters so I could spell out "Countdown" :D yeah I'm patient like that LOL
Number four uses Wendy Vecchi's embossing paste in a crafter's workshop stencil then sprayed with glimmer mists and distress inks and stains.
For 3 we have distress stains and then distress inks on top of that then I cut the pocket watch frame and one of the mover and shapers circles to cut out the pocket watch and then i used silver dauber on it and then added black and rubbed it in/off.
then I backed it with a piece of watercolor paper that I used distress markers and inks to paint a floral scene by hand and added one of Tim's remnant rubs.
For2 I have used the metalic tape on top of a tag, embossed with one of Tim's texture fades then I used the broken china and victorian velvet distress paints on it and then added a small piece of MME paper on the top of it. Stamped the Birthday blueprint stamps on another piece of MME paper and cut those out and then stamped the cupcake again on watercolor paper and colored that with distress inks and the water brush and cut that out- added a pom pom to the party hat made out buttercream baker's twine and added that with glossy accents.
okay and now for day one- I handcut a starburst mask and then inked a tag with distress inks (colors used were tumbled glass, salty ocean, faded jeans, chipped sapphire, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, and festive berries I then topped it with one of tim's rosettes, and stamped the simple sayings stamp.
And now for the final and I think one of my favorite pages in the countdown...
I used Tim's Postage stamp frame die to cut out the postage stamp from water color paper and then I stamped with advents very lightly in the background and then stamped the butterfly from the mini blueprint set and then I water-colored the floral BG by hand using distress inks and distress markers and the waterbrush, and then colored the butterfly in the with distress markers in the same fashion. Then I ran the piece through my printer while holding my breath to add the "Guess what?" "We're outta here!
and the "last seen heading..." onto the piece. I stamped a second butterfly on watercolor paper and colored that with distress markers and fussy cut that out and popped the wings for dimension.
and there you have it. Thanks for peeking in if you did! :D
