Ranger Distress and Winnie and Walter.

Oh yeah baby!! I have always mixed these things together so the challenges issued by Winnie and Walter on their blog during their Share the love week featuring Ranger Distress inks was one I just couldn't resist!! So let me jump right in with what I have to share with you. First I have some card which I made up for Day 1's challenge of doing a watercolor technique with Distress inks. It uses several distress inks used to color in the flower images from The Big the Bold and the Extras Set and the sentiment is made up from that and The Big the Bold and You and the The Big the Bold and the Fun set (since I mix many colors when doing these watercolor "paintings" I will try to list the ALL of the colors...Tumbled glass, spun sugar,Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberries, Seedless Preserves, Mowed Lawn, Peeled paint, shabby shutters.) I am loving tying in my inside of my cards with the outside and Winnie and Walter makes this so easy to do! Next up a fun little hidden window sliding card I love the Rainbow distress in the background of the fun in the sun panel!! it's a nice vibrant punch of color! the colors used were Picked Raspberries,Spiced Marmalade,Mustard Seed Mowed Lawn Peacock Feathers, chipped Sapphire, and Seedless Preserves here's a closeup of the card front and the inside or hidden portion.... and a little close up ...I colored the crab with Distress as well :D The Winnie and Walter sets I used for this card include the Big the Bold and the Fun and The Big the Bold and the Happy as well as The Write Stuff: Picture Perfect set I really NEED the mini distress ink pads as you can tell by that last picture LOL my colors mixed because it's hard with the big pads to be totally accurate, but the color fade works in this instance. Okay and now...on Day Three there was a resist + Distress challenge issued and for that day I made these cards... First up is this card which uses the paper Smooches Botanicals 1 stamp set. I will also be entering this in Paper smooches anything goes Challenge as well. I die cut a piece of MME "Unforgettable" paper with the Tim Holtz/sizzix Baroque die The Distress inks used on this resist were tumbled glass and mustard seed. Sentiment made from Winnie and Walter The big the Bold and You set. Then I have this card to share with you which uses a ton of Distress to color in the Background (spun sugar worn Lipstick, picked Raspberries, Mustard Seed Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Festive Berries, Barn Door, Spiced marmalade) and then the sentiment is a combonation of Tim's/Sizzix ShadowPress Authentic Debossing folders which was colored with the mini distress ink blending tool and Peacock feathers Distress ink and then Winnie and Walter's the Big the bold and You stamp set, as well as the Big the Bold and the Extras set Then I have this last card which is done with Tim's Wallpaper stamp embossed and then inked again in Peacock Feathers Distress inkand Evergreen bough Distress ink inked Tim's Movers and shapers Styled Labels die to cut a piece of white CA andI inked it in peacock Feathers distress ink then I embossed my sentiment which used the Winnie and Walter The big the Bold and You, The big the bold and the Extras, the Big the bold and the Happy The big the Bold and the Fun sets in white embossing powder. I added a small rose I made with the Tim Holtz Tattered florals Garland Die inked in Barn Door Distress ink and a close up And that is my shares today which I will be entering over at Winnie and Walter's blog! I hope you enjoyed them....and PLEASE...Go get inky! You deserve it! ;D
